To place an order, add all desired items to your shopping cart. To add an item to your shopping cart, simply click the “Add to Cart” button next to the product. The “Add to Cart” button can be found in several places on the site, including the individual product page, the Chocolate Menu, and category pages (i.e. Dark, Milk, Flavored, and Truffles). After clicking “Add to Cart”, a summary shopping cart will appear in the bottom left corner of every page. You may change quantities by entering a desired number and hitting the “Recalc” button. To remove an item, simply set its quantity to zero and click the “Recalc” button. At anytime, you can select a detailed view of your shopping cart by clicking “View Cart” found in the upper right-hand corner of every page. Please note, any applicable sales tax and freight will not be added to your cart until you enter or confirm shipping information as part of the checkout process. When you are finished shopping, please click the “Checkout” button
found on the top right-hand corner of every page. You will be prompted to login
or register if you have not already done so. Chocolate Sophisticate uses passwords
for secure transactions and better customer service. After you enter or confirm
your shipping information, please click the “Submit Info” button.
You will then be able to review your order total including sales tax and freight.
The last step is to enter or confirm your billing information and then click “Submit
Payment”. Your order will be promptly processed and shipped.
You can shop confidently at Chocolate Sophisticate because we use password
protected accounts and Secure Socket Layers (SSL Certificates) to protect your
personal and financial information.
We happily accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover Card. You are also welcome to pay by check or money order by mailing your order to: Chocolate Sophisticate Please be sure to add the proper freight and sales tax to your total.
Our chocolate products are only taxed on shipments to the state of Utah.

We offer you the option of buying today and we’ll ship it when you want it. This is ideal for gifts or if you want to make sure you are available to receive the package. To select a “Preferred Arrival Date”, shop as you normally would. Once you click “Checkout”, you will be brought to the shipping information page. There you will have the option of selecting an arrival date. Please note that some restrictions do apply. Arrival dates can only fall on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, so that your product will not sit in the shipper’s warehouse over the weekend. The lack of temperature control in the shipper’s warehouse can have an adverse effect on the taste of your chocolates. While we can not guarantee the product will arrive exactly on the desired date, we are pretty good at fulfilling your request. There is no extra cost for this service. We charge our normal 2 nd day rates.
However, we do charge your credit card at the time of purchase because we are
reserving the product for you. Unfortunately, we cannot accept cancellations
of products purchased with the “Preferred Arrival Date” option.
These policies ensure the product is available to ship when you want it.
For some products, you may see the words “Out of Stock” because we are temporarily out of inventory. These products can not be purchased. We work very hard to keep all of our products instock. Unfortunately, this is not always possible. By offering the best chocolates in the world, we are selling products made from a limited supply of very premium cacao beans. Therefore, there is a limited amount of product available for sale. We apologize for any inconvenience an “Out of Stock” product
may cause. Often these products will be available again within 2-3 weeks. Please
contact us so we can recommend similar products.
Sending chocolates to another address is easy. Once you complete your shopping click the “Checkout” button. The first page of the checkout process will ask for a shipping address. Enter the recipient’s address. All of our packages come wrapped in a beautiful ribbon. Please note, our packaging slips never include pricing information so you can keep your
spending confidential.
Review Process-Is this accurate? Once your order is picked up by our couriers, we will update the tracking
information in the Shipment Tracking option under My Account. Find your current
order and copy the tracking number. Then, simply go to DHL at www.dhl-usa.com and
enter the tracking number. If you have any problems, please contact us.
We take every precaution to ensure that your package arrives in pristine
condition. In the unlikely event your package arrives with damage, we will
gladly replace or refund your order. To qualify, please contact us within 7
days of delivery and save all packaging as you may be asked to return the product.
Please contact us and we will correct any problems.
We apologize, but often we are unable to cancel an order because the product
has already been removed from the warehouse and is on its way to you. This
sometimes happens within minutes of an order being placed. Please contact us
and we will check the status of your order to see if cancellation is possible.

Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that the products we sell have not come in contact with nuts. Most chocolate manufacturers produce at least one product with nuts, so contamination of other products is possible. Whenever possible, we provide nutritional information on each product page.
Please feel free to check the ingredients for allergens. Additionally we will
note any information we receive about contact or lack of contact with nuts
or other common allergens.
Many of our products are Kosher, organic, or both. To check a product, click on the Nutritional Information tab which will note if the product is Kosher or Organic. To get a list of products, simply type Organic or Kosher in the Search Box,
found in the top right corner of every page.
